I was just there last month and found some wonderful fabric. I live in Iowa and visit my hometown (two hours South of Hamilton) once a year. I've always turned South on Hwy 13 but this year turned North and within several blocks was in front of the MO Star Quilt store. I now plan to visit every year.

For all to remember, Hamilton Missouri is a small town, and when MSQC and they have revised the small town. I know plenty of small towns that have had Main street just about close up. I congratulate them for turning this small town around and give it plenty of life.

How wonderful that you were able to see MSQC in person. Living in New England, there is little chance that I would be able to visit, however, I can dream, especially when I see some of Jenny's tutorials. I agree that it's wonderful to see how a quilter's hobby has expanded to include family members as well as members of the community, giving jobs to people who need them. I wonder what it would be like to work there, although I would probably spend half my salary in fabric or quilting supplies. LOL.

What is the nearest airport? Gosh this just sounds like so much fun. I certainly do not need more fabric but today I feel restless. I would love to just jump on a plane and rent that car and be there! Maybe that will be my fantasy today as I do my chores! I'll just pretend I'm getting ready to go to Hamilton!

This is what I thought as well. Do you ladies know each other? Sounds like a cool place to visit. It's a long ways away from our winter home in Phoenix Az. Is there anything of interest nearby that guys might like? He hates shopping for fabric and going to fabric stores.

Kansas City MO is the closest airport, to my knowledge. Hamilton is about 45-60 minutes north of that.
