I have bought and washed some ties in preparation to make a quilt. I found, also, that most of the ties fared well through the washing. A few had the linings shrink, thus the reason some ties are recommended to be dry cleaned. I did not notice any other reason for not washing. The main fabric remained unscathed.

This is so beautiful! I have always wanted to do a tie quilt. This pattern rocks with the ties!
