I had the same problem with my fold-up table bowing in the middle. I used a piece of plywood under my cutting mat then I got a small kitchen table to cut on and it doesn't bow. Glad you found the problem and it is so simple to correct.

I have no idea why this has happened to you. I just wanted to tell you I think your sewing space is lovely. It is so clean and bright and uncluttered.

I love your sewing room...just a note that heat/sun will warp rulers and cutting mats. When I first started quilting, I learned the hard way - I ruined a cutting board and a 6x24 ruler. I am now very careful to not leave my rulers and/or mat in are around any heat/sun. Those beautiful windows in your sewing room might allow too much sun/heat to come in on your rulers. Do you have another flat wall that you can move your pegboard to....I know you hate to move it, but that might help protect your stuff. I hope you get it worked out.

I have used a pegboard to hang my rulers and such, never a problem with my rulers warping.

Love your sewing room. Can't help with your rulers warping. Is your basement dry?

I'm so sorry to hear about your rulers warping, I had a pegboard for years when we lived in our house, can't put one up on the walls in the apt. Is the pegboard in sunlight, I noticed that you had a lot of great natural light, perhaps that's the reason. Maybe a call to the mfg. might give you some solutions. Great, totally awesome quilting room.

I have no input for your warped rulers, but your sewing room is to die for!

I love your sewing room! And SO glad you figured out that the table is bowing and not your rulers. Another suggesting is to put a 2 drawer file cabinet or small chest under the middle of the table that would keep it from bowing, plus give you some additional storage. Good luck!

I am so sorry but I have peg boards for several years and have over 100 rulers hanging. Never a problem. As look at your room I see alot of windows. The only thing I see that might have happened is the sun and heat. Before you replace them run tests to find out why. Good luck and so sorry.

Your room is so beautiful and I am sorry that you have had problems. Hoping you can "fix" whatever is wrong and enjoy your new surroundings. Please be sure and share pictures of the beautiful quilts you will make while looking out your wonderful windows.
