The lovely charms were at home when we arrived this weekend. Thank you all so much for your efforts!

Hope we can manage a faster swap next go around and that there are fewer duplicates. I received two of the same exact packages from the last swap, but I will find a way to use them too. Thanks for swapping!

    hugs,
    dj

Wow, you're very much more observant than me. Sorry you got so many duplicates. I know I tried to use some of my previous left over packages this time, but I made a chart and tried to not give duplicates. If one was mine, send it with your next swap and I'll replace them. <3

My hope has always been the extra thank you gift I send off set any problem we found in the packages. I can NOT look through each package. We've been pretty good about nice cutting, no duplicates, 50 in the packages. Let's keep that up.

Speaking of the next swap, I am waiting approval from Patrice. As soon as I hear, I'll let you all know. I changed up the twist swap like some of you requested. 10 sets of 10 Batiks. We'll see how it goes. I know it's the same amount in the end, it's just double swapping and that takes time, as dj pointed out too. It takes me 2-3 full days to swap with prep and mailing.

I finally had a chance to sit down and look at all my candies. What fun! I especially loved the 30's bunny rabbit fabrics. I literally squealed in delight when I saw them! Thanks again, everyone, and especially to Sheri.

Is anyone doing a Scrappy Swoon quilt with their squares? I just started one today. It's so much fun!

been thinking about it....can a 2.5" square become a 2.5" hst??? or what would the seam look like if a pieced square section were to be sewn with another diagonally then cut..it would be very lumpy, wouldn't it... ? I have to try to figure it out first.. if we sew two 2.5" squares on the diagonal and trim the seam to 1/4 " it should be ok??? right. I can't seem to get it right now...my brain is fried from repiecing 32 star blocks that were all different sizes. for a wounded warriors quilt raffle.. I will try it tonite...I would like to use the med & med dark scrappies for the primary star.. after that?? I'm not sure..H.

I've been doing it because I really want to use my 'candies' and not cut anything new. I sew the two together on the diagonal, but just inside the line so when I press the bigger side back it will fit. I press it to the corner of the block under it before I cut off the excess, leaving the 1/4" seam. It works fine, but there's a lot of waste. I don't save the tiny triangles I trim off.
