Well, that answers my question! I thought it must be a corporate change but wasn't sure since our HL store is poorly run. Too bad ... Can't believe they were losing money on mags, even with coupons... they make a ton of profit on all the overpriced stuff, all made for them in China !!!

I have purchased them at our Sams Club at discount prices. Due to surgery I have not been there for a while but I might b going there today and will look. Also, I was in our Joanns yesterday and they are still carrying magazines.

Yes, the HL I went to yesterday also replaced mags with books.......and seem to be rearranging the store a bit....lots more flowers!!!!! Looking more and more like JAF......

Usually books a million has lots of quilting magazines. I usually look at them there and if there is one I want I tried to find it at HL or JAF. Now guess will have to buy it there, alas, no coupons.

JoAnn's has racks of quilting magazines--everything you could ever want to know about quilts and quilting! I've been waiting in the checkout line and been hooked by a quilting magazine about a kajillion times. I don't remember ever having seen quilting magazine at HL where I live. froggyintexas

I go once every six weeks to look at all the quilting magazines at Barnes and Nobles. I always find one or two I want to buy. The B&N here carries all of them that I know of and some I never heard of before from other countries.

I see them at Hancock's, Wallmart used to carry most of them but now I only see one or two. Sam's never has more than one or two out when I am there. The woman at H E B told me she keeps two out a week and changes therm as they don't have room for them all. The last few times I was there they had none out at all. I take several of the ones I like best by subscription.
