Have any of yall used dryer sheets to quilt with. I saw on Pinterest a lady who dyes them. They would probably be great for adding texture to postcards in some way. those dyed/painted dryer sheets open up a lot of possibilities! wonder what paint she used. unfortunately my dh switched to bottled softener, but it might be worth it to buy a box just to try it out and play with it. ooo, i hate new ideas! my work will never be done! LOL!

Nancia that humming bird is just so pretty. I would never have thought of all the ways everyone has created their rainbow theme cards.
Judith it's raining here today so our yard is becoming clear of the snow. Now watching and waiting for our drive way to clear. We live on a very steep hill, but it won't be long now.

I am feeling so behind. We had 14 inches of snow! Power was off most of the day on Friday. Internet was down until today. Most was gone by yesterday afternoon. I didn't try to get out. I feel so behind. Even our mail route was held. Look what I got today!

This is how she does the dryer sheets.
Dryer sheets do take a long time to dry no matter how you do them. I put them in a plastic tub and spritz them with water first. Then I drizzle the paint over them and begin to toss them. I keep spritzing them with water to get the paint to move. Sometimes I throw sheets of one color in with another color and toss. This will give two colors on them. Each sheet will have varying amounts of paint, some need more. With this batch, I got wonderful markings where the paint sat in the creases. You can also stamp them; make sure to put a piece of cloth underneath the sheet and you may get two prints.
