Gay, that's gorgeous! I keep staring at it, appreciating all the details and different blocks. You are working with independent blocks that are grouped together, which is different from what I'm doing. Not a problem. Your quilt is an inspiration.

I take it you can't access the menu on your old camera to change the date? That must be a bit crazy-making!

Hi Deborah, thank you for the nice comments. After googling mondrian quilts I realize they are a little different, so I played again with EQ7 and came up with this sample. I only created 2 blocks. If this what you are wanting to do, it is very simple. Note how the blocks can be turned or flipped and reshaped. If you are thinking of something different you are welcome to pm me and I will try to work it out for you, I love playing with EQ7

Thanks, Gay ... and everyone. I seem to have really confused the issue by bringing up Mondrian. I only meant to use him as an example of complexity I'm dealing with, and had no idea so many quilters were into Mondrian-style quilts! Let me show you a small portion of my design, minus the colors. This is maybe 18-in. square. The whole thing is 6-1/2 ft. square, and it all pieced like this. Can THIS be drawn entirely in EQ? There are no rows, no columns. The entire thing is one crazy-complicated block.

Btw, I did just realize that I can export the design as a PDF, open it in a layout program, and save it as a jpg. That only creates an image of the design, so I can't work with it in the layout program, but could I possibly import a jpg into EQ, and "convert" it into an actual working block??
