kristakz, love the peacock. Did you design the pattern?

I finished the above two projects today. One is a Christmas present for my great nephew. The other is a table topper for a church bazaar. I made two more blocks on my Fireworks quilt (I think I was working on that last month too!).

Now for some household work before the Yankees play at 7. Hope they win tonight and sweep the Sox this weekend (Sorry Boston fans!, we need to move up in the rankings).

Tomorrow I'm quilting with some friends at a local quilt shop. I have a Hunters Star baby quilt I'm taking with me. And in case I get bored or frustrated with that, more of the Fireworks blocks!

Lots of ambitious work planned for the weekend. Can't wait to see how we all make out. BTW, love the pictures of the feline helpers. Mine were helping me today. One stole my chair every time I got up to press!

Got the fabric this morning for a baby of a daughter of a friend. The baby is going to be a girl. Checked by fabric and visited Jo Ann's this morning with a handful of coupons and saved $14.95 and the total cost of the fabric was $19.95 so I have my weekend planned. Also, finishing another Christmas Table topper....whew!

Because I love seeing everyone's photos I decided I'd better take one of mine..... This 3" hexie project was started as one of my first ever hand projects. I took it everywhere in the car.... it became a joke with my friends..... but 20 years later I am determined to get it done. I started hand quilting it, but it was such a slow go I decided to try my hand at big stitch quilting with perle cotton. My computer is really slow tonight and putting things where it wants! Sorry.... but here is the other picture

Thanks for all the kind comments. Peacock is a paper pieced pattern by Violet Craft, called "Peacock Abstractions". I have the facing 3/4 sewn, just one more edge to go. And my customer quilt is complete. So tomorrow, I pull out my friend's project.

Hi again...back from town. I came, I conquered "Wall Farts" on Labor Day weekend. (no small feat, I might add,) got my fusible webbing and now I'm ready to roll...tomorrow, that is.

MacyBaby, I really do love your lace quilt idea. It's coming out really nice. Your furbabies are cute too!

I'm in too, just a little late to start. Tomorrow we have a family reunion but the weather forecast is not great so I will most likely be home early from that.
I have 3 different quilt retreats coming up in the next couple of months so I plan to get some projects cut and ready to take to those. I will see you at one of them Raggiemom!

I haven't participated in one of these in quite some time. Lovely and ambitious projects! I am finishing up my BOOM blocks to mail on Monday. I need to straighten up my sewing room too! I am going scuba diving next weekend so need to pull out my gear and check it out. Also some preparations for a road trip later this month. I am going to a reunion in Nashville and my sister is joining me. She will not fly so I will fly to Omaha and meet her there. On the trip we plan to visit Missouri Star Quilt shop, Hancock's of Paducah and the Quilt Museum in Paducah. It will be fun. Can I skip the housework another weekend?
