I had a quilt top almost done once and realized I hated it. I ended up cutting it into 2" strips and used them in a strip quilt, alternating them with solid fabric. Liked it much better than the original. Sometimes a rotary cutter is your best design tool!

I have decided that:
It is quite all right to be pleased with myself when something turns out very well.
It is also quite all right to be pleased with myself when I figure out why something did not turn out well.
I am also pleased with myself when I finish something - even if the project has a few glitches.
I may be a critic of my work - but I have chosen to say that I am my "best" critic - because I may be one of the more aware ones of what worked - and what needs to be worked on - for next time.

Wow! You are so brave. I never thought of taking a rotary cutter to a pieced top. So glad you were happy with the results.

I love how positive this thread is.
Someone here on the board has at the bottom of their posts a quote from Voltaire: "I have chosen to be happy - because it is better for my health."
I think we all need to do that with our quilting.
(P.S. My doctor loves the quote also!)
