    Reviving this thread!!

Anyone want to join me and finish (or start) their scrappy (or controlled) Burg Surrounded quilt? I have made these two blocks.

I wish I had the time to join you, SewBizGirl. I am trying to do a finish of three baby quilts in various stages. Since they are promised asap, I can't. I love this pattern and have always wanted to make one. I will be watching you and being so very jealous. LOL!

I'm cutting for another 12 blocks today. I have all the pieces cut for the chains , interior of the block, and next will start on the exteriors. So maybe it won't be as slow as anticipated! Looking forward to seeing what my blocks will look like.

Don't want to you to feel you are talking to yourself here. I am looking forward to seeing your color and fabric choices. As I recall your blocks were scrappy or am I suffering an older brain moment? Can your post an updated photo so we can follow along with your next adventure with the B-Surround.

Your progress sounds like lightning! "Burgoyne Surrounded" is a bucket list quilt for me. Scrappy looks interesting.

Lol, thanks WMUTeach and QuiltMom2, for keeping me from talking to myself! I figured if I just plowed ahead, someone would show up! And maybe I can get some interested in quilting along with me.

I have a little more cutting to do today, and then I can start assembling blocks... Yes, scrappy! As I complete blocks, I'll post them here. Can't believe my back let me do so much cutting yesterday with no problem... and grateful for it. Be back soon!

You said, "Be back soon." and all I could think of was a bee back that was yellow and black stripes and clear wings. That is the way my thinking goes some times.

LOL, WMUT… funny how words are interpreted by our brains!

Here are two BurgSur blocks I got sewn today. The first one is kind of ugly, but will look alright when mixed in with the “herd”. I love the second one!

I would love to join you in making one of these but I'm in the middle of multiple projects and I don't want to get involved in another one! I will be following your progress!
