XXXLG Tote for quilts by Toogie

This is one I made yesterday, out of a canvas type fabric and edge finished my seams with the serger and also made with the 64” handles. You just carry it by hand. In the tutorial with longer straps, I intended to carry on my shoulder. I soon found out it was hard to carry the weight of a couple quilts and keep the straps on your shoulder. The shorter hand held strap is more practical. I am glad you all appreciated this tutorial. Even most of us know how to make a bag, it is easier when someone provides the measurements and shows how it works out. I hope I did just that, made it a little easier for you.

Your R/W/B would be perfect for gifting a Quilt of Valor piece. I know some of QOV are delivered in pillow cases, but just a thought. Good tut and a nice sized bag with so many uses. You're a STAR!

I love this tutorial!! The dimensions are particularly useful to me right now. I'm trying to figure out what to do with my candy squares and I think this is going to be the project! Since it will be light weight fabric and not the more rugged canvas, the shoulder strap option will be great. Your descriptions and pictures of how to get this done are very clear. Thank you!

Ibex94 please show us your quilt tote when finished and remember to look down from first post, bc the first shoulder strap was too long. We like the last RWB tote with the short hand held straps best bc with the weight of the quilt, I had a hard time keeping the long straps on my shoulder.
