My favorite fall scent-from way back when people burned leaves and yard waste.
My favorite fall color-the beautiful bright red maple leaves
My favorite Halloween costume as a child-I made a Raggedy Andy costume when I was in junior high and went to a party with my girlfriend, who was Raggedy Ann
My favorite Halloween candy that I collected-I liked the little individual packets of candy corn and would give most of the chocolate bars to my mom
My favorite fallish food is a lovely slice of turkey with dressing and cranberry sauce
Photo of a fall focused quilt to follow this!

Gaijin, Thanks for your submission, I enjoy some of your choices also. But your table runner is lovely. I like the purple mixed in with the fall colors. You back ground is perfect. At least in the photo it looks like marble and is shows off the colors in the runner so very well.

Hard 'to believe Autumn has arrived. I saw a post today from my neighbor that called it "Hotumn"! Our temps were in the 90's. We're totally ready for some 70 degree days. Watching the weather as there are a couple of storms in the Atlantic - forecasters say they should be turned away from Florida by a low coming down from the north. So much for our weather!
My quilting mogo has finally returned and my machine has been working overtime! LOL I had been making little outfits for my Great Grandchildren for recent birthdays. I've switched it up and now working on my quilting. I made 2 gauze baby quilts, embroidered 2 birth quilts (with all the detail added), a National Parks whole cloth quilt, a Mason Jar quilt that I have to add a border onto and several other quilt projects sitting on my ironing board. One of the quilts I want to finish soon is called "Cider and Donuts" by Hoop Sisters. It's applique and embroidery quilted in the hoop.
In response to WMU's questions here goes:
I love the fragrance that comes from the fire pits when we burn cherry wood preparing to make the S'mores.. My favorite color is the red tint of autumn's changing leaves and yes we jumped into those big piles of raked leaves as children! When I was a child, my mother gave me a Cinderella costume. Now that we are near Orlando - we could see all the princesses including a Cinderella. My costume wasn't very elaborate, but I loved it anyway! The chocolate Hershey and the Snickers bars were my favorite candy. The kitchen always smells wonderful when the apple pies are baking! Something I look forward to as the temperatures begin to fall!
Enjoy what Fall has to offer each of you!
Hugs,
Brenda W

Love hearing everyone's stories of fall. Here is mine:
- Favorite scent of fall - Hot apple cider. Holding a steaming cup in my hands and smelling it is somehow more pleasurable than drinking it!
- Favorite fall color - Rust red
- Favorite Halloween costume as a child - I reused a particular fuzzy yellow onesie multiple times in later childhood/teenage-hood. The costumes weren't particularly good, but it was a fun challenge to find a new use. the ones I remember were a hobo, the walmart smiley face, a baby, a lion, a Care Bear
- Favorite Halloween candy that you collected - Anything Reeses
- Favorite “fallish” food - Sweet potato casserole
- Photo of a fall focused quilt. - Have not made one. But I bought some fall themed fabric and have it sitting together on a shelf. No plans yet.
