    Default Sleepy teddy quilt

A close relative is having a baby soon. Sex not known yet! So I made this quilt in case it's a girl, and I have a boy version ready to be quilted. I just love this pattern so much!

Oh this is so sweet! I haven’t seen that exact pattern before, look forward to seeing your “boy” version too!

Excellent applique work! Did you stitch in the ditch for this one?

    It's a pattern from the 70s that I found online. 😊

Thank you! I really like doing applique, but I think I still have some things to learn.

I did SITD for the patchwork coverlet, some fmq loops around the bear's head, hearts between the inner line and the ric-rac, and then diagonal squares outside the ric-rac.

For the applique, I did straight stitching around it about 1/8" out from the outer edges, and on the body and face, I used invisible thread on the top to SITD by the blanket stitching. If I'd thought ahead enough, I would have saved the blanket stitching to actually be the quilting, rather than doing it on the top only, but it all turned out well enough. 😊

    Default Sweet pattern!

What a wonderful pattern for a baby quilt! I like that the patchwork for the blanket can be scrappy fabrics. I have a lot of charm packs! Can you tell me what size squares you used to make the quilt (blanket)? Just curious!
