Have you used the unscented? I have allergies and have never had a problem with the unscented. I do react to some of the other versions.

I use it almost daily. I use the unscented tho because of allergies. I shake the bottle and have not had any problems.

Very good idea. I got my mister from my beautician. Really works well.
So many good ideas here. Like spraying onto warm fabric from the back.

In fact it is 1-4 NOT 1-8 sorry.

Are you using starch and Best Press? If so that might be the problem.

CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE what you're doing wrong! For the past three years I buy Best Press BY THE GALLON! It is THE absolute best! I never have iron residue. If I'm having a brain freeze and have to take out stitching a couple times to the same seam, I use Best Press to put the sizing back into the fabric. I do as the instructions say; just spray and press. I'm sorry you're having a problem but, again, I cannot imagine what you're doing . . .

I use StaFlo and mix it half & half. I spray one side and iron on the other.

No I haven't used the unscented, but I'll try it. Thanks!

Thanks so much for all your replies. For those who asked, no I'm not using both Sta-Flo and Best Press together. I've used SF in the past and BP is new to me.

Spraying less heavily helped with the residue. Next time I'll try the trick of pressing first to warm the fabric, spraying the front and pressing the back.

Thanks again. I really appreciate the help!
