Yardage??

I don't want to know how much I have, and I don't want to know how much I spent. I just want to enjoy using it, and I hope I can avoid buying more. I'd love to have empty shelves in the quilt room, but that isn't likely to happen.

I have been packing my sewing room up for a move to texas, so far I have filled the spare bedroom with floor to ceiling with boxes that are filled with fabric. At last count had over 75 boxes and that is only half of my stash packed. I really did not know how much i had collected over the last few years. It did not look like it was that much fabric when it was lined up on my bookcases. Maybe when I get to texas when I unpack I will measure it all just to see how many yards I truly do have. Christi

We are just finishing up a remodel which included new flooring, paint and a design wall in my quilt cave. I had to move everything out of the room to get it done. It's now been packed up for about 3 months. (I miss my stuff!) Next weekend I'll be able to unpack it.
I had clearly overbought as my enthusiasm for quilting grew. I tried to edit out fabric when I was packing up and I did a pretty good job, but I'm going to do some more editing when I put everything back. I'm determined to never again have the mess I had before I packed up.
As for how much there is - I'm going to be counting the yards as I put it back because with the renovation we have to increase our homeowner's insurance and I'd like a somewhat accurate account of the replacement value of everything in the room. I think it's going to be a shocker!
