I got 48 large flying geese done. Will make them into 4 columns with sashing between. That shouldn’t take long. Also cut out pieces for the next quilt. I don’t want to run out of work at guild tomorrow. That’s not likely to happen but, it doesn’t hurt to be prepared 😁

Stitching rows together for my Square Link quilt (from last month's VQW). Hoping to complete the quilt top today (Saturday).

I was able to finish binding the 3 Comfort quilts. And an additional 4th quilt is bound and ready to send to Thailand to my foreign exchange student daughter. She was here visiting this summer and she gently reminded me that she didn’t have a quilt from me. She also fell in love with my bowl cozies and asked if she could have them. Of course I said yes but they were old and well used so I’m making her new pretty cozies to send along to her and her family. I doubt I get the other top layered and quilted today as we are headed to meet up with friends at an Indigenous Festival today. There is always tomorrow.

    aashley333 and RedGarnet--good luck organizing!

    Iceblossom--hope the surgeries go well

DoBeeDoQuilts--your skeleton quilts sound cool. Hope you're able to post pics.

Yesterday was a nonquilting day. I had been a little under the weather for the preceding two days so I caught up on housework and did some cooking for the weekend. So today I hope to be in the quilting room. We'll see what I work on. Will check back in later.

My Square Link quilt top is completely assembled (I'm not adding borders). Size is 90.5 by 100.5. I still need to give it a final pressing, but I've already got the backing and batting. I still need to decide on the quilting design. I've narrowed the choice down to three pantographs (and I also need to practice since I haven't done any of the three designs before). Should be able to finish before the end of November's VQW....

Well, I'm done for the day. I tried binding the ultimate travel bag but machine is skipping stitches on it because it's so thick. So I decided to piece the top that was on my design wall. Back to quilting tomorrow afternoon

Sunday morning check in..............no progress, not a stitch! But then I ran the church kitchen for an event on Friday, made a pie for a potluck today, got to visit with my son for a couple of hours and went to watch my grandtwins in a marching band competition. Arrived home and fell into bed listening to the rain, much needed, and watched the lightning flashing.

    Will try again this afternoon.

I did make a quilt hanging sleeve. Then, I did not know how to attach it, so YT to the rescue. Blind something stitch. Verrrry slow going. After about 15", I already needed a break! I think I will attack that job in little bits. Today, I believe I will try the 1 yard tote bag mentioned earlier. Just not ready to start another quilt. I am making way on my cross stitch project which is a mandala fish, and it will become a future quilt pattern!
